It is of great significance to study the growth of outstanding teachers to promote the development of teachers, as the excellent teachers are teachers of the winners. This study use narrative research methods by the case study about the Malan of Dongxiang to study the growth of the excellent teachers in northwest region. The main purposes of this thesis are: 1. to provide experience for professional development of teachers in minority areas by studying the growth of the outstanding teacher Malan in minority areas. 2. to explore the main factors that influence the growth of outstanding teachers in ethnic minority areas and analysis what should be done to support for teachers in the path of development, also some effective strategies should be explored during the process of outstanding teachers'training, especially how to promote the teachers in ethnic minority regions and have them long rooted in rural school in northwest areas. 3. to give some advice and strategies on further education and professional development of primary and secondary school teachers in the northwest minority areas in order to build up the primary and secondary teachers in those areas.This study mainly consists of three parts:The first part is a thorough introduction about the origin, purpose and significance of this study, and then summarizes the growth of domestic and foreign-related literature about the development of qualified teachers. At last, the author gives us a simple introduction about the ideologies and the methods used in this passage.The second part is the prominent part of the article, describing the growth and the experience of Malan and the feelings when I spent with her.The third part analyzes the factors affecting the growth of teachers, including the social and their own factors. Specifically, the social impact also includes:1 the key events, in the process of teaching, usually play a transitive role in the development of teaching and is also helpful to strength the teaching will and to further understand the teaching profession. 2. Social expectation is the motivation for teacher's development. 3. Supportive system constantly firms the confidence and the determination of the teachers. 4. The local economic and cultural background enables teachers to better understand the importance of education to social development. Dedication of teachers in their own personality and the deep love of education are the basic conditions for outstanding teachers, a profound understanding of the current educational situation is the ability needed for the insight into the educational development trends.Finally, some relevant measures are promoted to promote the growth of outstanding teachers.
