Human being as the subject of creation, the development of its subjective initiative is the most direct momentum of the society development. The immaturity of junior high school students ?self-consciousness leads to the teacher抯 emphasis on developing the student抯 subjective initiative. Training of the students?subjective initiative is also essential for teaching in biology classes. Based on both theoretical and experimental studies; as well as inv~stigations, the author comes to the conclusion that there are two means to develop a student subjective initiative. One is through arousing the student抯 interest in learning, building the independence in study and creating the student抯 own personality. The other is to develop the student抯 individual subjective initiative by training that of the whole group. Practice in teaching has shown that the teachers?emphasis on the students?subjective initiative may benefit the students?self-consciousness and independent capability, arouse the students?interest in biological science, as well as improve scoring. This study may contribute to the efficient implement of subjective education.
