As the important factors, anxiety and temperament affect the precompetition mental state and achievement of basketballer. So far, the study of either anxiety or temperament has been carried out. But the researches on the comparison between the youth athletes and university athletes, on the comparison of anxiety lever among different temperament, on the comparison of both anxiety and temperament among guard, forward and center are seldom reported. Centering on these upper contents, the thesis focuses on trait anxiety, state anxiety, and types of temperament of the national youth basketballer and university basketballer by i State-Trait Anxiety Inventory)) and ((Temperament Inventory}}. Conclusions: (1) Both forwards and guards of the two groups, have mainly sanguine temperament and sanguine-phlegmatic mixed temperament. Centers have mainly sanguine temperament. (2) Trait anxiety is correlate with precompetition state anxiety; there is no different anxiety gap between man and woman. (3) The precompetetion state anxiety level of center is higher than forward and guard in both groups. There isn't any difference of trait anxiety level among guard, forward and center. (4) The precompetition state anxiety level of university athletes is higher than the youth athletes. Trait anxiety is on the same level. (5) Temperament has effect on the level of trait and state anxiety of the youth and university athletes. (6) The anxiety level of melancholic athletes is higher in comparison with sanguine athletes, and show a tendency that is higher in comparison with sanguine-phlegmatic athletes.ChenXinDirected by Professor Wang JiaHong...
