The formulation of quality education in China has a long history of about nearly ten years. To spread quality education and improve the whole people抯 educational standard and quality is the fundamental guarantee in changing the heavy load of population into the qualified personnel resources and speeding up our socialist modernization. Quality education is not only an necessary way of our country抯 educational reform and developing, but also an important policy of our country according to the fast development of science and technology and the cruel competition between Countries. However, the implementation of it is not as successful as you expect, especially in primary and middle schools of our country. Why? People have different opinions about it. Somebody says it抯 because of the sense of education; somebody says it抯 because of the entrance examination system, or the evaluation of education and so on. But I think it抯 mainly because of the teachers?quality. I do believe that there is no quality education without teachers?quality, which is my view in this essay. The teachers?quality at present in China is very poor. We must try our best to find better ways to improve the teachers?quality, and then we can widely spread our quality education.This present essay is mainly about it. In my opinion, it is the teachers?quality that impedes the spreading of quality education, which is from my abundant experiences and what I see or hear as a middle school teacher. I hope this essay can help to improve the primary and middle school teachers?quality and speed up the spreading pace of quality education.This essay includes four parts: Firstly, summarize the implication and characteristics of quality education. Secondly, indicate the demands for present primary and middle school teachers according to quality education. Thirdly, analyze the current situation about the teachers?quality in primary and middle schools in China and reasons that lead to the result. Fourthly, discuss how to improve the teachers?quality and at the same time give some advice.
