With the development of market economy , the secondary vocational education is badly affected by the market and is faced with a unprecedented challenge. Then how to go through the predicament and get into a good developing orbit is a question. This article tries to explore the issue in three parts. The first part introduces the history of secondary vocational education. From the occurring, forming and developing courses of secondary vocation education, we can see the further prospect of secondary vocational education. The second part analyzes the existing problems of secondary vocational education. Now, there are serious problems in way of running schools, major offered> curriculum system, regulatory regime, which prevent the development of secondary vocational education. The reasons include interior and exterior. The last part aims to work out solutions to the problems of secondary vocational education, and provides resolving methods concerned from four aspects. Firstly to stimulate various ways of running schools, we should set up an open system replenishing vocational training , joining senior middle school and advanced education, cooperating with enterprises. Then, to adjust majors following market requirement. Thirdly, to establish "wide base, flexible curriculum" pattern with bases on vocational quality education. Lastly, to change the fix semester system, using elastic system to satisfy different vocational requirements. In a word, secondary vocational education is the need of domestic economy and the inevitable result of historical progress.
