The education status of the Shan-Gan-Ning Border Region in the Anti-Japanese War Period had been belittled for a long time. But as one of the most important components of the history,the study on the problem is arising. The paper ,based on most firsthand materials,some investigations by many other specialists,studies the topic in-depth.The paper discusses the education to cadres,to school age children and to the masses separately;give a relatively comprehensive description of the status. Under the instruction of the special "Education in war time" policy proposed by the CCP,the education to the masses took precedence over to school age children,and the education to cadres had the highest priority,especially to those on-the-job cadres.The paper consists three parts:The first one is on the education to cadres. In this part,it discusses the establishment of Cadre School,the development and the modification of the education policy. On the end of the part,it points out the importance of the education to on-the-job cadres.The second one is on the education to the masses .In this part,it discusses some main education modes on the education to the masses. The development course on education and its achievements have been discussed.The last one is on the education to school age children. In this part,it discusses the status of the elementary school and middle school. Because the elementary school was the most important education mode to people,it is discussed from some different view points,such as education policy,fund,teaching material,curricula.
