This paper focuses on the evolution of academic degree system during the period of "Republic of China", which is still short of systematic study in the academic territory of educational history. After analyzing the influence of the western academic degree system, the paper based on large amount of first hand historical materials makes an overall and impersonal research of the developmental course, characteristics, evolving causes, influences and practices about academic degree system during the period of "Republic of China". So the major viewpoint of the paper is that with the influence of the western academic degree system, the academic degree system in "Republic of China" was gradually established and developed through amalgamation and absorbability.
