The quality education goals and systems of each subject as well as the roles of teachers in education be altered and transformed along with quality education go deep into basic education. Quality education magnify human being's principal character, value and develop student's principal consciousness and spirit ,and also foster and form student's perfect personality and spirit strength. In this education, student's knowledge, emotion and will as a unit be developed. Students, the objects of education alter to the principal subject of self-education which build up one s lifelong developing ability. This education emphasizes teachers in common schools give students permanent effective influence. It is thus clear that quality education has to depend on a high quality teacher group.Teachers in common schools are most week part of teacher group for a variety of historical factors. Quality education establishes an advantageous environment for their growing up as well as poses a variety of challenges. In the first place, out subject education, and also gives full play to visual art' s peculiar superiority in students' entirely development of knowledge, emotion and the will. The students appreciate the art culture from the point of views, such as art and life, art and emotion, art and science, art and humanity, etc. They grow up as human beings who have aesthetic character, noble sentiments, creative competence and perfect personality, art subject embody it's own peculiar value, and also become principal courses in basic education. The art teacher certainly will be important power in fostering talented persons in future. In the second place, as a result of the notions tactics and patterns of subject education be changed, the art teachers have to confront with new education environment and re-establish their self-images. However, there are obvious gaps between the foundations of our nation 's teachers and the goals of education, which become one of the obstacles that impede the deep going of quality education. So, on each step art education advanced, we have to pay close attention to teacher's growing up and fostering. They are educational hopes in future. This academic thesis discusses three issues. First, consults the past records of art education and art teachers in order to find the construction of teacher group. As the same time inquire the positive function of art teachers to the causes of art education. Second, analyze the comprehensive quality the art teachers must have in the present age according to quality education. Recognize the roles the art teachers in teaching in future through the whole notions' thorough transformation. Finally, reveal the gaps between the reality and the hope of quality education to the art teachers, analyze the reasons and searches after measures to solve them, and also explore ways which can make the art teachers be developed continuously. I hope we have an overall recognition through my whole study, expect the art teachers can foster talented persons who have high quality for the progress of society and the prosperity of our nation.
