Study Of South China Sea Issue And The Cultivation Of University Students' Patriotism

Since China's reform and opening to the outside world, the international situation has taken tremendous changes, peace and development has become the main subjeet of the day, the relation between powerful countries has taken thorough adjustment, and the whole international tension tends to ease up. The relationship between China, America, Japan, Russia, the European Union, etc, has made great progress. All the factors provide a optimistic environment for China's reform and opening, So China can focus on its economic constructic the liberation and development of productiuity. In the past two decades, China has made enormous and proud strides. However, the world is not completely peaceful. In the course of reform and opening, China has confronted various difficult challenges and serious safety threat. For safety threat, it falls into three gradations: Globally, it comes from Americas all-round brutal interference in china's internal affairs, Japans (as well as Rassia's in long term) terrilorial and economic aggrandizement, and worldwide economic risks owing to globlization. Locally, it derives from the splitting of Rorea Peninsula, the stability in southeast Asia with south China sea as its focus and the peace in Southeast Asia Subcontinent with the Sino-Zndia border issue as its focus. Within, it stems from the union of Taiwan Provience and the mainland and the development in districts of minority nationalities. In the following ten to twenty years, the order of the most pressing. And possibly out-of-control issues would be: Taiwan Issue, South China Sea Issue and the Sino-India border Issue.Among the three issues, the South China Sea issue would be the most complicated one because it involves a lot of countries and some of them are supported by strong powers, and there still exist diverse sensitive disputes in culture, history, race, border, social system, etc between China and nations in Southeast Asia. So in this paper, the South China Sea issue and Patriotism cultivation would be discussed from three aspects. First, the historical causes to the South China Sea Issue. In this part, a general survey of South China sea, the causes to the South China Sea Issue and the process and situation of other countries' invasion and occupation would be introduced, and the reasons of its cong-term existence of the issue would be analyzed.Second, the experiences and lessons in dealing with the south China Sea issue. Chinese government has taken various measures to uphold Chinese territorical and sovereign integrity from ancient times to present. There are proud experiences as well as profound lessons in dealing with the South China Sea issue. In this Paper, the experiences in safeguarding Chinese sovereignty would be expounded from four aspects and the lessons. Chinese government delt with the issue would be set forth from five aspects. Third To love south China Sea is to love China. The young university students are full of strong desire to cearn knowledge and know the world. They are the future and hope of China. They soulder heavy responsibility to build chia into a powerfdl country. So in this part, the students are supposed to know that South China Sea belongs to China from the very beginning of history and it is of great importance for china's economic construction and security. Meanwhile, this paper desires to cultiveate students' Patriotism and inspiresthem to adopt the firm idea of being well educated for China's flourish and prosperity by informing them the south China Sea's condition, the causes to the issue and experiences and lessons in dealing with it by Chinese government.
