The Exprimental Research On EGb's Effect To Anti-fatigue Ability Of Little Rats

This thesis,mainly based on the medical effect of EGb,used the EGb produced by the Natural Plant Pharmacy of Guangxi Normal University to carry out experiments to the animals (little white rats of Kunming breed),trying to probe into EGb's effect on the improvement of the rats' exercising ability and their anti-fatigue ability from the angles of physiology,biochemistry and training theory .The aim was to exploit and make use of gingko resources,making EGb more widely used in the field of sports training,providing a reference to such aspects as exercising ability and anti-fatigue.According to references:EGb consisted of plenty of ketone and terpene grease (gingko grease and ginko grease),its extract had a remarkable effect on the expansion of vas,the revolution of blood,anti-oxygen lacking and anti-oxidization. So,the experiments for this thesis,which included endurance of Oxygen-lacking and high temperature,swimming,climbing and biochemistry measure,used little white rats as the main research objects. The results were as following:1. The abilities of endurance of Oxygen-lacking and high temperature of rats using 2.4mg/kg,3.2mg/kg were remarkably greater than those of control groups and low-density groups,which showed out their dependence on EGb.2. If only used EGb but not training,there was an obvious increasing tendency but not significant in the abilities of rats' swimming and climbing between experimental groups and control groups(0.1>P>0.05). In the condition of training,rats' having EGb and not had quite different results (p<0.01) to their swimming and climbing abilities. This indicated that only using EGb but not training was not significant for improving exercising ability. And giving EGb and training would have a compatible effect on it.3. In the exhaustive swimming for once a day which lasted six days on end,the ability of continuous moving of those rats having EGb,special for ones with training was stronger than those not. What's more,with comparing not-training experimental groups with training control groups,we found,there was not significant difference between those permanently having EGb and those currently having had some differences. This showed that EGb improved the ability of continuous moving and had the effect of anti-fatigue and getting over from fatigue.4. EGb could efficiently stimulate the rats' SOD after exhaustive training in ,which there was significant difference,between not-training experimental groups,training experimental groups and not-training control groups ,trainingcontrol groups respectively(P<0.01). This showed that EGb could enhance the liberal genes' protecting ability,cleared out liberal genes and had anti-oxidized as well as the effect of protecting organ tissues.5. If having EGb immediately after exhaustive training,the vitalities of CK,LDH of rats in training experimental groups were remarkably higher than those in training control groups(P<0.05). Combining with such conditions,we came to this result:making reasonable use of EGb in training could enhance the ability of energy metabolization,speed of metabolism and endurance of fatigue and postpone the occurrence of fatigue.Thus,according to our reseach results and "Managed Rules of Food Protection" and "The Assessing Order and Testing Method to the Function of Food Protection" issued by the Health Department in 1996,this research get to this conclusion:Under the compatible influences of sports training,using EGb could efficiently promote the tissues' oxygen exercising ability,the endurance of fatigue and postpone the occurrence of fatigue. It had striking effect on the fatigue recovery.
