Learning Self-regulated Learning Through Strengthening Mathematics Reading

In the 21st century, knowledge economy and information technology have developed notably, and have aroused changes of education idea, education modes, learning methods all around the world. The idea of the life-long learning has been practiced need of society's on-going development and personal development. Learning to learn has been an important topic of the curriculum reform in basic Mathematics education.Reading is an important way and mean for people to have knowledge and probe the world. It has been an important learning method for students hi ait-subject for a long time, and many facts indicate that self-study reading plays giant role in formation and development of ail-subject's students self-study ability, and also it's a basis and presupposition of nurturing and developing of self-study ability. But this learning method, self-study learning, is be neglected in Mathematics Education Kingdom and instruction. These apparent differences have made us think those questions just as bellow: (a) The true facts resulting in these differences; (b) Is self-study learning sutable for Mathematics learning? (c) How about mathematics reading in high schools? (d) What are functions of Mathematics reading ? (e) What are it's special characteristics? (f) How to instinct students to engage in self-study reading in Mathematics.In this study: (a) In vestigation on univercities' professors and high schools teachers and students were in agree hi Mathematics reading psychologicaly, and they have an explicit motovation, and they want to understand and practise some scientifical and effective methods in Mathematics reading . But there exists many corrupt practice, such as unexplicit standing of Mathematics reading , inappropriate reading habits, having no scientifical reading methods and shortage of reading materials, etc. (b) On the basis of die results'analysis and rethinking, there forms some important viewpoints about Mathematics reading education functions, specialities and reading methods. And also this paper provides to new readhig methods in Mathematics reading?active readhig and passive readhig . With some cases Analysis , this paper has a conclusion?active reading is the best way to have students acquire scientifical and effective reading, (c) In the process of research, students were divided hito two: experiment group and control group. InIVcontrol group, traditional instruction method was been adopted; In the experiment group, according to the four-type of content梒oncept content, formular-principle content, exercises content, review content,different tasks and requirements are provided to students in order to help them reading, (d) And most importantly, in this paper forms new method of reading instruction?five-step: pre-reading (preview-reading), si-reading (side-reading), co-reading (coopi-alive-reading), in-reading (intensive-reading), re-reading (repetition-reading). After the Z-tesl, it has conclusion that there exists apparent differences between the control group and experiment group. Five reading is a effective mode which should be adopted in Mathematics Education Kingdom.Thus in Mathematics education, self-study could promote students learning interests, nurturing students motovation, improve their learning acheivement, and at last, enhance students competence. Five reading should be promoted in Mathematics education.In the end, the author advices that all of Mathematics teacher shoud try their best to improve their comprehensive quality-oriented, and also hope that the whole society shoud back up teaching reform, and adapt some textbooks of Mathematics and reading materials which are applicable for students to learn Mathematics.
