The Proposition Of Implementing Psychological Health Education In Normal Schools

With the development of the society,the concept of heath has gone further than physical health. It also includes psychological health,abilities of adjusting to the changing society and moral health.Nowadays people have come to realize what important roles psychological health plays.Educators have made fruitful efforts on the study of psychological health.What they have done is to improve the levels of psychological health of the students, to develop good psychological qualities and to bring out their latent potentialities and creative abilties. This essay first deals with the development of the viewpoints towards health of the people in different times ,the attentions which they paid to psychological health , and the writer s understanding about psychological health and its education.It then discusses the importance,possibilities and urgencies of carrying out psychological health education in the Normal Schools from three aspects:the demands to people from the development of the society and the demands to teachers of primary schools of the new century;the developing characteristics in body and mind of the students in Normal Schools and the demands from the steady growth of the body of the individuals;the present condition of psychological health and its education in Normal Schools. , What s the aim of psychological health education?The writer thinks it should be put into the consideration of the whole education systems in order to draw a conclusion.She thinks psychological health education should accord with four requirements: The genernal aims of education.The internal requires of psychological health.The full development of psychological qualities of the students.Promoting the active development of the individuals.On this base she thinks that the systematic aims of psychological health education in Normal Schools should be realized by reaching three different levels.They are the ultimate,the intermediate and the direct aims.The ultimate aims serves the general aims of full development and training aims in the school;intermediate aim put great efforts on how to improve students psychological qualities better;the direct aims are for the realization of the intermediate aims. To reach the aims of psychological health education,the following must be , included when the contents are designed:how to bring out the students potentialitie s and their creative abilities; how to improve their psychological qualities better and how to prevent and correct their wrong ideas and doings.
