Student nurses in secondary school are a special group in the hospital. They playdouble roles i.e students and nurses and they are in the period of the forming of theiridea of life, world and value, whose physiology and psychology are growing. Becauseof the particularity, student nurses in secondary school are living in an environmentwhich is full of "stress source". They have to face not only various patients and dealwith the part for ever, the simple and trifling, over-nursing-work, even shift workwhich interferes biological clock but also the more complicated personal relationshipand professional prejudice to nurses. All above factors can easily cause student nursesin the secondary school over-loading in psychology and over-tired in body. As a result,their psychological problems or mental symptoms will appear. When student nursesenter hospital to practise, the school thinks that they have finished educational taskwhile the hospital thinks that they are not hospital staffs. Therefore, student nurses'psychological health education become the empty area. How to change the situationand develop the student nurses' psychological health education become more andmore important.This study used SCL-90 to investigate and test the 202 student nurses (female) inthree secondary health schools in Jinan. With the formal study and the comparisonwith the national norm, to investigate psychological health situation of student nursesin the seconary school and find the affected factors;to propose appropriateeducational strategies from the three sides of school, clinical teachers and studentnurses;to provide scientific basis for promoting educational reform and developpsychological health education of the student nurses in secondary school.We get the following conclusions:1.Many student nurses have mild psychological symptoms(42.0%). Their problemsare the following sequence: sensitive to interpersonal relation, forced, bigoted, hostileand fear. The proportion(12.6%) of the student nurses have obvious psychologicalsymptoms. Their problems are the following sequence: forced, sensitive tointerpersonal relation, bigoted, hostile and depressed. In a word, the mainpsychological problems of student nurses in secondary school are the followingsequence: sensitive to interpersonal relation, forced, bigoted and hostile etc.2.There are significant difference between the factors such as sensitive tointerpersonal relation, bigoted and hostile of student nurses in the hospital andstudents in the secondary school .3.There are significant difference between factors of SCL-90 of student nurses insecondary school and national norm. It shows that there are obvious psychologicalhealth problems in student nurses of secondary school and their psychological healthlevel is lower than same-aged students.
