Brief introduction to the author: Yanzhen Huang, born in 1970, graduated and received Bachelor's degree from mathematics department of Fujian Normal University in 1993, is now working as assistant at Shishipengshan Industrial University, and has had two treatises published in periodicals of CN level.Research objective: This paper explores the function of non-intellectual factors in mathematical study, the relationship between non-intellectual factors and the "sentiment target" of mathematical courses, as well as methods of developing students' non-intellectual ability so as to achieve targets of sentiment education.Research methods: This paper applies methods of document analyses, investigation, historical research, and induction. Conclusion: This paper analyses non-intellectual factors as the main reason that affecting mathematical study, provides an effective solution to this problem, and points out the coherence between non-intellectual factors and the "sentiment target" of new mathematical courses. It proves the importance of non-intellectual factors from perspectives of motive, interest, sentiment, will, and habit; and provides methods of developing students' non-intellectual ability (so as to achieve goals of sentiment education) from eight aspects, especially those of enhancing the purpose of studying, creating question situation, revealing the beauty of mathematics, and relating stories of mathematicians'.
