I'm a maths teacher in a middle school and I've been teaching for over ten years. In my teaching, I pay close attention to the cultivation of students' non-intellectual elements, esp. the cultivation of will quality. This article aims at studying the theoretical and practical significance of cultivating students' good will quality in maths teaching .To cultivate students' good will quality is the demand of students giving full play to their main part effect and the need of training all-round developed talented persons who bring forth new ideas. To cultivate students' good will quality in maths teaching is the demand of carrying out quality education, the guarantee of students' learning maths well and the essential condition of students' success in their cause in the future. The practical research provided in this article, on one hand, proves the significance of cultivating students' good will quality, and on the other hand, provides concrete practice reference for relevant research.Maths teaching activity is a practical activity guided by some certain theories. The basic study method of this research is to use the basic principles of relevant subjects to synthetically analyze and research practical problems with the direction of Marxism theories. This research studies the cultivation of good will quality using systematical analysis method. Besides, the theoretical and practical problems in maths teaching have their own historical and logic resources, so it also adopts historical and logic methods. And what's more, the existence of all theories come from the appearance of practical problems. So, the real beginning of solving problems is to go deep into the realities, do investigation and research, and have at our fingertips all the aspects of the problems. At last, the principle of paying attention to the organic combination of qualitative analysis and fixed quantity analysis is necessary to the research method of all science, and there is no exception in this research.
