Exemplification and exercises are necessary and important parts of maths teaching in junior high school. How to cultivate the students'mathematic quality depends on not only the teacher's teaching ideas, teaching activity, teaching methods and her or his recognition of the exemplification and exercises in teaching, but also the students'views of learning.Focusing on the problems that the students meet with in their learning maths and daily teaching activity, the author, led by the methodology of junior maths teaching, tries to research and summarize the practice of exemplification and exercises of maths teaching in junior high school. The author, from the viewpoint of psychology and teaching methodology, combining some basic ideas of the new curriculum with theoretical achievements of the research on exemplification and exercises in teaching, shows her own views on this.The research paper deal with the following aspects:The subject, the main thesis and it's meaning: the principles how choose the examples and exercises and design the class activity rationally. The aim is how to improve the students'ability to analyze and solve the problems and how to cultivate their creativity and improve their mathematic quality from all aspects.The research paper elaborates the guiding ideology of exemplification and exercises in teaching from the two aspects: teaching ideas of quality and modern maths(including ideas of maths, ideas of learning maths, ideas of teaching maths). The author hopes the paper can be a help to other teachers while they choose the examples and exercises in their teaching. The research paper points out the function of exemplification and exercises in teaching and some factors influencing the students in their study.Based on structuralistic design of examples and exercises, the author puts out her own practical principles of teaching design.The result and analyses: according to the teaching design above, the author found it quite effective by records, conversations and investigations.
