This research examines the reliability and validity of the self-designed "Teacher's vocational commitment questionnaires" and 'Teacher's job burnout questionnaires" at first, the results show that the questionnaires is a useful tool in researching the vocational commitment and burnout of middle school teachers. Then it investigates the vocational commitment and burnout of and expert teacher by using the scaling method and the talking method.The results indicate that, in all, there are remarkable difference in vocational commitment and burnout among novice,proficient and expert teacher.The affective, normative and total commitment of the expert teacher are remarkably higher than that of the novice and proficient teacher. However, the depersonalization, reduced personal accomplishment and total burnout of expert teacher are remarkably lower than that of the novice and proficient teacher. The vocational commitment of novice teacher is in the indesicive and unstable stage .If they meet with some difficulty in teaching,they are easy to be indifferent to all. Also ,they experienced more emotion of failure. For the proficient teachers, their knowledge about teacher work is stable gradually. But the situation of stability is based on division. So,the proficient teachers are experiencing the key stage in the whole teacher development.For the expert teachers, their vocational commitment is the most stable ,moreover,it is disdilled. The expert teachers take their platform as life stage. So,the level of burnout of the expert teacher is lower than others. The most important thing is that they know how to self-adjust and slef-strengthen.
