In order to understand deeply the nature of maths education and teaching in middle school, this article analyses the traditional maths education of middle school from the view of humanity, adopting document and differentiating. By reconsidering the traditional understanding of maths and reconstructing quality education according to humanity, we can improve our understanding of the practice of quality education in middle school maths.In my opinion, the relation between maths and humanity is inevitable and humanity is essential character of contemporary maths. So enhancing humanity in maths teaching conforms to the demanding of the development of modern society and human being. At the same time, it is an important target in maths teaching of middle school and key demanding of quality education. It shows that modern maths teaching should pursue humanity and humanity in maths becomes main tendency, especially it is a good medicine to reform the malpractice of maths teaching at present.In the aspect of practice this article provides some basic tactics to enhance humanity: putting up scientific education view point increasing the contents humanity in subjects; augmenting the humanity of teaching process and method; reforming the traditional educational evolution model of students; developing maths teachers' humanity and building humanity environment of maths learning.
