The industrialization of higher education refers to that higher education should operate by means of market regulation and in accordance with the rules of industrial economic activities. The industrialization of higher education doesn't mean converting it into our traditional industry, but rather, by means of industrial operation system transforming the traditional operation pattern of higher education. Full transformation comes when higher education, which is originally brought by the state into public product management, gradually transfers to education services of private product nature, or quasi-public product nature. Thus, market system will play an essential role in the resources disposition of higher education,* triggering the social investment into higher education, promoting the benefit of educational investment and stimulating the internal vitality of education industry.Owing to the influences of the traditional planned economic pattern and the limitations of higher education as well, quite a few problems exist in the process of industrialization of higher education. Thus we should use the experiences of western advanced countries as reference and choose the industrialization pattern that fits to our national conditions. The transformation mainly involves the transformation of educational resources disposition from planned pattern to market pattern, the transformation of management system and allocation system of higher education, the establishment of plural educational investment system, the establishment of appropriate investment incentive system, and the improvement of the efficiency of higher education services through the industrialization of management and socialization of services. Societies' need for higher education will be met by therealization of popularization of higher education and the increase in supplies for higher education. Meanwhile, it entails the supervision of higher education industry and the safeguard of the lawful rights of the educated.
