Entering the 21st century, the education field of China embarked on the education reform. The goal of reform is that pushing the plan of quality education and cultivating the new generation who has the harmony of body & mind and the completed development. Under this background, the emotional education must be carried out. The emotional education is a part of the whole education and runs throughout the school education. As a branch of school education, school physical education should play an important role in the emotional education.The author adopted this research methods of literature material analysis, the questionnaire survey, the specialist-interview, the comparative method, the statistical method in this thesis. The thesis not only explains the meaning of Emotional Intelligence (El) and Emotional Education (EE), but also illustrates the essentiality and particularity of EE in school physical education. The author investigated some of students and physical education teachers in the middle schools of Beijing, found their acquaintance about EE and the currently situation of the students' El. The conclusion is below:1. Emotional education researches the students' attitude, mood, emotion and faith in the educational process. Its goal is that advances the emotional health of the individual and the development of the whole society. It's very important to implement EE in school physical education. The teaching materials of school physical education embody the content about EE2. We can infer from the questionnaires that the EE level of these students is low and the students below the medium level are more than those beyond the medium level. It is necessary to implement EE in school education. As the EE level as is concerned, theimportance is not the students' sex, age and grade, but they are cadre or not, The level of former is obviously higher than that of the latter.3.Most of middle school students in Beijing attached importance to the EE and would like to accept it. They approved of the action of running EE in school physical education, but knew little about it. The fact justify the feasibility of EE.4.The teachers knew more about El & EE than the students, but they aren't competent for teaching. Some teachers had applied the emotional education to teaching by selecting the contents, the methods and the composition of teaching. After a series of teaching, teachers thought the obstacles in the subjective factors and objective factors. They also thought the most effective approaches to EE are the physical education and the sports culture in school.5. To implement emotional education, the teachers should promote their techniques, such as promoting the knowledge and ability of El and keeping good relationship with the students.Furthermore , they should master five rules.6.To implement emotional education, the school should establish the EE system which the main course is the physical education and the secondary courses are the exercise course, the sports culture, the unscheduled training and game. It is the goal of the system that promoting the ability of self-awareness, self-stimulating, emotional controlling, intercourse and frustration-enduring.
