Nowadays,the mental health of teenagers and children has become one of the important issues that many parents worry about.In the process of their growth and development,irregular living and learning environment,complex interpersonal relationships,will subtly affect the mental health of children.Once there is a bias in mental health,it will not only affect the healthy growth of individuals,but also lead to emotional susceptibility,bad behavior habits,difficulties in interpersonal communication and wrong cognition.The accompanying effects may last for a lifetime.How to promote the mental health of teenagers and children is one of the important issues that educators must think about.Previous studies have shown that "left-behind children in rural areas" will have more or less bad psychological problems in their growth process due to the lack of parents' company and family education.Method in this paper,through a variety of research,the rural left-behind children,emotional intelligence,mental health,sports,such as concept,physical education teaching and the emotional intelligence education,physical education and mental health,mental health and the relationship between emotional intelligence education,at the same time of fuyang city town small springs area at a middle school student to carry on the investigation,analysis of left-behind situation with sports,According to the results,the author puts forward the practical path of adding EQ education into physical education teaching,and verifies the effect of the experiment through teaching practice.The results are as follows :(1)There are many types of guardianship of left-behind children in rural areas.75.5% of them are intergenerational guardianship,46.9% of them see their parents only once a year,61.2% of them have little heart-to-heart communication with their parents,and 63.6% of them think that theirparents only care about academic performance;(2)In the cognition of the function of sports,the main choices are physical fitness(83.9%)and free time(65.4%),in the choice of activity venues and personnel,school(77.6%)and classmates(81.5%),in the choice of activity time and frequency,mainly 10-20minutes(33.6%)and 1-2 times(40.6%);In the selection of sports,the main is running and rope skipping;(3)Before the experiment,there was no significant difference in the mental health dimensions between the experimental class and the control class(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of teaching experiment,there were significant differences in six mental health dimensions between the experimental class and the control class(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the mental health dimension between learning disabilities and special disorders(P>0.05).(4)There were significant differences in five mental health dimensions before and after the experimental class experiment(P<0.05),while there were no significant differences in learning disabilities,bad habits and special disorders mental health dimensions(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in mental health dimension before and after the control class experiment(P>0.05).The conclusions are as follows :(1)The main types of left-behind in rural areas are intergenerational guardianship,where parents(or one party)leave home for too long;Parents and children lack communication and pay more attention to grades than care about life;(2)Children's cognition of physical education function is not comprehensive,and they think physical education course is "play";Due to the limitation of venue and equipment,there are few sports items to choose from,and there is a relatively single number of regular activities,with less time and frequency of activities.(3)EQ education in physical education has a significant regulating effect on rural left-behind children's emotional disorders,behavioral disorders,social adaptation disorders,and has a significant relieving effect on character defects,moral defects;(4)Under the interaction of physical education and emotional intelligence education,the dimensions of learning disabilities,bad habits and special circumstances of rural left-behind children's mental health have little effect;(5)From the perspective of the overall score of mental health,adding EQ education into physical education teaching can promote the mental health of left-behind children in rural areas.The overall development of children's physical and mental health needs not only the joint promotion of school and family,but also the influence of the society.Suggestions: 1.Schools should carry out education and training for teachers on a regular basis and actively cooperate with families to jointly promote children's mental health education.2,family,to create a harmonious family atmosphere,establish a communication mechanism,to have the patience to teach children.3.In terms of society,the state should further improve relevant policies.Local governments and communities should strictly regulate entertainment venues and organize more public welfare and caring activities together with some institutions.
