The key to the teaching and learning in Junior English is to let students feel their lessons interesting. How do teachers arouse students' interest? That's the work teachers should do in the teaching job. They should use various, lively teaching methods to attract their students' attention, and to arouse their enthusiasm of studying and their desire of seeking knowledge. Teachers should enlighten their students to think actively, and encourage them to use their heads, eyes, mouths, hands more often. Only in this way can students develop their intelligence better and can students study English well. In the end, they can raise their English studying efficiency.In the past twenty years, the traditional teaching method is widespread. At present, the situation of English testing of teaching and learning in Junior English for China is still common. English teaching is still teacher-centered. In the classroom, teachers just speak about the texts, not telling students how to grasp the methods of studying; students are just compelled to listen to teachers, and have no time to digest what teachers taught. The traditional method cannot arouse students' interest. At last, they gradually lost interest and motive force of English study, so they give up their English studying. The efficient way to change the condition is to adopt the novel and lively teaching methods to have students feel interesting to their English study, and guide them to study voluntarily.The thesis discusses how to arouse students' interest of studying English from the angle of psychology, and puts forward that teachers should adopt methods of strengthening students' education of studying aim, and apply various teaching methods and means to stimulate students' studying motivation and interest to havethem like to study English. Meanwhile, it reveals the relation between students study happily, relaxed and raise the efficiency in English teaching and learning.In Junior English teaching and learning, if teachers want to have students feel interesting to their English study, and turn the teachers' compelling study into students' volunteering study, teachers should be in the dominant position. It is very important for teachers to tell students how to study. Teachers should make full use of probable methods to attract students' attention. In English teaching and learning, teachers should create real language situation or model scene to enlighten students to think, and arouse students' desire of using foreign language to express their ideas and feelings to make use of the information and language material. Thus, their ability of comprehension and expression of foreign language can be well developed.The thesis deals with the important significance of students' studying interest to be cultivated in English teaching. It proposes that teachers should apply audio-visual method, situational method, game method, role-play method, competition method and so on. All these can make teaching lively, and the things directly perceived through the scenes. Teachers can also consolidate students' interest of English study by means of these methods, and they can raise the English teaching quality likewise.What the author uses is teaching reform experiment method. She tries to verify that interest has indeed certain influence on Junior students' English study through teaching reform experiment.
