On Vocational School Students' Information Literacy And Culture In The Information Society

At present, the application of information technology, the core of which consists the Internet and the computer, goes deep into every field of social life and becomes a part of human life. Increasingly, the information has become a basic literacy which the literates should possess in the information society. The level of the information literacy has been targeted for evaluating the total quality of a talent In order to provide the best chance of study and development for the vocational school students and make them become excellent lifelong learners and labors in the future, we must make them become men with information literacy. Therefore, how to adapt to the development of information technology and cultivate the vocational school students with information literacy is an important task that the vocational teaching staff should go deep into discussing. This is just the original intention of this article. First of all, by defining the meaning and analyzing the characters of the information literacy, it raises the requirement that brings up the information literacy of the vocational school students in the information society. Secondly, being based on particular investigation and data, it makes further objective analysis about the actuality. As a result, it evidences that it is necessary to strengthen the information literacy of vocational school students as well as offering pertinence to put it into practice. Finally, according to the requirement of society development and on the base of aiming at fostering the literacy of the students scientifically, it raises my own view on fostering the information literacy of vocational school students.
