Learning is a common cognitive activity of man,which is closely related to the survival and development of human beings. As an individual man, his lifetime Learning can he divided into a few steps, of which Learning in school days is extremely important. It is a learning activity which ia in the charge of school, and in which students master the knowledge accumulated by our forerunners in an aimed and planned way under teachers' instructions. The knowledge which students learn at school contains a lot of respects, of which Chinese learning is the most important one, as the fundamental of the whole learning activity and the indispensable prerequisite for further learning, while Chinese learning includes a number of steps, the sinior of which serves as a connecting link between the proceding and the following in the course of learning. Learning efficiency in the step has a great effect on the other steps,In the process of recent Chinese teaching practice in senior school, there generally exist such problems as the students with low interest in Chinese, improper learning methods and classroom acquired knowledge and methods without being consolidated promptly and attemptly and effectively. This paper aims to this current situation and attempts to probe it into further by doing research. It is expected that various Chinese extracurricular activities will systematically be organized in a planned way by the platform梩he literary agency to accomplish the goal of improving senior students'Chinese attainments. The paper, first of all, discussed the necessity of the study. It is believed that effective utility of the extracurricular activities is not only suitable for the need of students'physical and mental development, but also corresponds to the reality of senior education. It is advantageous to give full play to students'learning autonomy, to arouse their enthusiasm for learning Chinese and to help their self-consummation. For another thing, the forms of activities such as lectures, writing, reading, listening, speaking and competition which the paper mainly refers to have proved to be practical and effective forms in the experiment, and specifically interpreted how to organize and conduct these activities . Finally, the paper argues that the literary agency is a platform with great value . The play of Chinese extracurricular activities will be able to effectively be given to replenish the insufficiency of classroom study and to provide the students more practising chances to help them practically improve their Chinese attainments.
