| In Thailand nowadays,Chinese language has become the second-language learning widely.Many people think that the use of Chinese language is very high,so many Thai parents support their children to learn it during the school years.Recently,Chinese language teaching has improved in Thailand and the Ministry of Education of Thailand requires that every secondary school must set up Chinese classes in the basic education stages.Therefore,the national curriculum will be a compulsory course for beginners.Thai-Chinese teaching has grown in attention,and most high schools support Chinese classroom activities and Chinese extracurricular activities teaching.However,there are still some problems.Throughout the questionnaire surveys and interviews,the author analyzed the Chinese extracurricular activities of middle school in Thailand;Luo Yong middle school.The results showed that Thai-Chinese extracurricular activities are divided into language activities and cultural activities.It was found that the most effective way for Chinese extracurricular activities in Thailand is to offer Chinese summer camps.As Thai students prefer entertainment teaching methods,Chinese extracurricular activities to assist Chinese classroom teaching.Unfortunately,there are some more difficulties in Thai-Chinese extracurricular activities such as teachers,language environment and student learning attitude,manual allocation,preparation time,and student participation activities.According to the results of the analysis,the author put forward the teaching methods used by teachers in Chinese extracurricular activities included activity teaching methods,interactive teaching methods and task teaching methods.In addition,teachers should continue to improve their own Chinese language proficiency.These teaching ideas can inspire Thai students to learn Chinese language and culture.It is hoped that the above research will provide some reference for Chinese extracurricular activities in Thai secondary schools. |
