An Exploration Of The Construction Of Teaching Staff Of Private Universities

Nowadays private universities have undergone a rapid development with an enlargement of teaching staff from diversified sources. However, due to the shortage of developing plan and system of teaching staff construction and the deficiency in the concept construction, the headway of construction of teaching staff of the private universities is retarded, which in turn hindered the healthy development of the private universities. Based on a survey of the status quo of the construction of teaching staff, the present paper makes a tentative study of a new approach to the construction of teaching staff of private universities, which will enhance the construction of teaching staff of private universities and therefore will ensure a sound development of private universities.First after a comprehensive exploration of the definition, nature, function and position of the private universities, this paper elaborates on the importance of and worthiness in making this exploration. Second, by introducing the theory of human resource development, specialized theory on teacher's profession and "dual-factor" theory, as well as combining the practical condition in the construction of the teaching staff of private universities, the present paper also makes a profound analysis and research. The paper also summarizes some beneficial illuminations, which are conducive to the construction of teaching staff in our private universities from learning from the advanced experience and approaches adopted by some countries on the teachers' training and management such as the United States, Japan, Germany, and French. Furthermore, through the summarizing and investigating, the paper carries out the analysis to some extent on the terms of the existing problems and the present condition on the teaching staff in our private universities. Finally, on the basis of the above-mentioned analysis and research, the paper constructs the concept of the construction of the teaching staff in the private universities, and puts forward the corresponding strategy and suggestions on two aspects, that is, improving the external environment on the construction of teachers in the private universities and strengthening the internal cultivation and management of the construction of the teachers in the private universities respectively.
