The practical curriculum orientation is to inherit and exceed the traditional subject-centered curriculum orientation. The basic idea of it is to construct the meaning of the life during the activity of the inquiry, experience and reflection to the children based on the viewpoint of humanlism. Now, many teachers and students with great enthusiasm are experiencing the new basic education curriculum reform, the aim of which is to cultivate the people's creativity. That is what the practical curriculum orientation called for. Therefore, it's essential for us to further discuss the practical curriculum orientation in order to give the new enlightenment to the new curriculum reform.The dissertation consists of three parts:Part 1 deals with the problem of realizing the shift of the curriculum orientation. Firstly, in order to keep pace of the time, more and more innovative potential are called for, who have the practical ability and the ability to solve the problem.And the abuse of the simplex subject-centered curriculum emerged increasingly. The requirement from the time and the lag of the educational idea calls for the shift of the curriculum orientation.Part 2 emphasizes the construction of the practical curriculum orientation. Through the analysis of the essence of "practice" and the main problems in the curriculum, it constructs the basic idea of the practical curriculum orientation. The main idea is summarized as followed: teachers and children are all is the subjects of the curriculum, curriculum is the educational factor, which has the progressive and dynamic characteristics; the children construct and generate individual life experience; the children get the "meaning" of the life when they are engaged in the activity of the comprehension, inquiry, critique and reflection.Part 3 discusses the enlightenment of the practical curriculum orientation to the current fundamental education curriculum reform. It regards that guided by thepractical curriculum orientation, we can do like followed to deal with the current curriculum reform: understand correctly about the curriculum object and deal with the relationship between the notion designing beforehand and the notion generation in the process, introspect the subject classify system, complete the integration of the curriculum content, emphasize the non-linear change in the curriculum implementation, form the constructive instruction orientation, transform the way of the learning-activity, strengthen teacher's curriculum consciousness, advocate the diversiform developmental curriculum assessment system.
