The professional growth of primary school's Chinese teacher is the continuous development process of the individual's profession; also, it is the process of the teacher's acceptance of the new knowledge and improvement of professional ability. The Chinese teacher's professional growth has great significance to the performance of the New Curriculum Reform and to the teacher himself or herself. Being a teacher of a basic curriculum, the question of how to realize the professional growth in the background of the New Curriculum in order to push the development process of his/her specialization , is asked to be solved urgently. The research adopted the qualitative research and action research. The qualitative research stresses experience, whole and explanation as its characteristics, which meet the research's purpose of deeply, dynamically, carefully, and panoramically recognizing Chinese teacher's growth and development. Several primary school's Chinese teachers were investigated, who were asked to take part in the experiment by school leaders. Facing the New Curriculum Reform, they groped by themselves, looked for support from professionals or colleagues, sought communication and cooperation, and joined collective preparation of teaching plan. These teachers had special self-consciousness and realized that they need change and improvement in different ways. At last, they found themselves a totally excited new teaching world. In their stories and the others' eyes, we found that it was an intelligent, emotional, and vivid group.Through the development of these teachers in the experiment, it found that there are five stages in the Chinese teacher's professional growth: start stage, probe stage, problem stage, construction stage and profession stage. Analyzing the case study, it found that the professional growth of primaryschool's Chinese teacher were affected not only by working spirit, cooperative spirit, awareness of professional probing, research ability, and Chinese accomplishment, but also by the school's organic culture, headmasters, teacher group, and educational policy. From two aspects of the individual and environment, this article has proposed several suggestions to promote the professional growth of primary school's Chinese teacher. In the aspect of the individual, it is suggested to improve the Chinese teachers' professional quality, including emotion quality, intelligent quality , and technical quality; in the other aspect, it is suggested to give the Chinese teacher a wide space of free development, including to set up the committee of school-based teaching and research, and to focus on training and management. Primary school's Chinese teachers should change his or her role, realize the professional growth and development, and finally become a new-type teacher who can meet the needs of the New Curriculum Reform.
