Middle-school history curriculum is to choose and sort out history and to cultivate and improve the learner's history consciousness, cultural quality and humanistic accomplishment through middle school history lessons. But in traditional history teaching there existed problems such as the teaching aims were closed and fixed, the teaching contents were unreasonable and of low quality, the teaching methods were outdated, the teaching ways were single, the teaching appraisals were one-sided and single, etc. In history teaching reform we have made some progress in teaching content, in teaching methods and means, but there still exist quite a lot of problems in teaching aims, teaching contents, teaching methods, means and in some other ways.Taking into consideration these questions middle school history teaching reform should change all the essential factors in middle school history teaching starting with the systematic point of view. That is: teaching aims should be all-sided and concrete; teaching contents should be renewed and expanded; teaching forms should be varied; teaching methods should be as perceptional as possible; modern multimedia technology should be used in teaching; at the same time, dealing with the problems caused from this. The original single one-sided teaching appraisal model should be changed.All-sided appraisals should be given to middle school history teaching from different angles. Psychology health education should be infiltrated in middle school history teaching. We should also lay more stress on improving the teacher's various qualities. However, we should especially point out: though the success or failure of middle school history teaching reform is restricted by education appraisal structure and some other ways, the key to the success or failure of the reform mainly depends on middle school history teachers.
