Yulin Area is in the North of Loess Plateau in Northern Shanxi Province that there are plenty of renewable energy resource with rich energy and mineral resources. and the natural conditions are superior. With the deepening of the Western Development Drive in recent years, the economic and social cause in Yulin Area has been well-developed. As the implementation region of the new curriculum, As the implementation of the new curriculum reform region, Even though yulin region of basic education career has made significant achievements, there are still many problems; and there is a a gap with the developed areas. This thesis tries to make a discussion on the history teaching of middle school in Yulin area in the background of new curriculum reform by means of questionnaire and field investigation.Except for the introduction and conclusion, this thesis can be divided into four parts:The first part :narrates the related theories of new curriculum reform, i.e. the theory basis, Chinese background, the requirement to history teaching in middle school of new curriculum reform.The second part: generalizes about and comments on the state of history teaching of middle school in Yulin area in the background of new curriculum reform. This part introduces the basic situation of research, and analyzes the state of history teaching of middle school from students’ and teachers’ questionnaire.The third part: While affirming the achievement of new curriculum reform of history teaching of middle school in Yulin Area, the third part analyzes the factors that influence history teaching of middle school – the notion of education is behind the time, teaching hardware facility is old, teacher’s professional level is low, educational management system is lagging behind, and the history teaching in the background of new curriculum reform has many problems.The fourth part:provides countermeasures to solve these problems Insisting to the right educational guiding theory and providing policy support to history teaching; Enhancing the establishment of teachers’ team in Yulin Area and providing guarantee of teacher to history teaching reform in middle school; Achieving the diversity of investment to basic education and ensuring the smooth progression of new curriculum reform; Improving the administrative level of education management, achieving the work shift of teachers, and ensuring the smooth advance of new curriculum; Trying to solve the concrete problems that influence the advance of new curriculum, such as enhancing professional accomplishment, updating teaching theory, changing teaching method, using new multi-media technique, enhancing the cultivation of students’ reflection, etc.
