Content: The dissertation concentrates on behavior, effect and malpractice of modernism curriculum ideas and carries on deep reflections and reconstructions for them. It bases on the educational space-time, on historical and documentary analysis, and sufficient historical data as well. The dissertation, with China's elementary education as the studying subjects, employs the principles of history and reality, inheritance aid innovation, persevering and development and explains theoretical and practical value.The study consists of four parts. The first part-Introduction-elaborates the theoretical foundation and basic thinking and confirms definition of curriculum ideas by introduction the investigation significance and methods of this dissertation. The curriculum ideas, as the dissertation explicates, are intangible medium between the teachers and instructional actions. The study of curriculum ideas contributes to fulfill reform and development of China's elemental education. The second part discusses effect of epistemology for curriculum ideas and explains curriculum ideas' logical development from modern to postmodern. The third part introduces flux and developmental tide of west curriculum ideas. The fourth part reconstructs new curriculum ideas in accord with times characteristic by reflection on present condition of our country.
