This paper mainly studied the effect of one-off increased exhaustive exercise on the NO content, the NOS activity in blood serum of the students from different departments. All parameters were observed before, shortly after the exhaustive exercise and in the next morning respectively. The study combined sports experiment and biochemical analysis. We took 15 P.E. department students and 15 ordinary department students of Shanxi University at random as the test group and the control group respectively. They were asked to complete the exercise task which started with 50 watt and increased 50 watt every three minutes until they had exhausted their energy on the Sensormedics2900 metabolic measurement cart. At the same time, air exhaled and inhaled was collected to analyze physical state. All the data were analyzed with SPSS10.0 statistic method. The results indicate : VO2max, W, and working time of the test group were much higher than the control group (P<0.01) . NO in the blood serum of the test group was extremely higher than the control group (P<0.01) under the rest state before moving. After exhaustive exercise, the changing rules of NO and NOS in the test group are basic identical with them in the control group. That is to say, the changing rule of NO was rising at first and then dropping ,but the changing rule of NOS was dropping at first and then rising and they took on very significantly negative correlation (P<0.01) in the test group.So we believe:First of all, after one-off exhaustive exercise, physical quotas in the test group are superior to those in the control group. And after the exhaustive exercise, the biochemical parameters of the test group resume faster than the control group. It indicates in some extent that the constitution of the students in PE institute is better than the students'in other departments. Maybe their long-term training does good to it, in the other way it may be relative to then" inborn well-body building.Secondly, the changing rules of the content of NO and the activity of NOS in blood serum are not accordant. In the long-term and persistent exercise, it may be consistent but after the exhaustive exercise, they take on some negative correlation, which illustrates that the content of NO in organism maybe be affected by other factors besides being restricted by the activity of NOS.Thirdly, we can know that the exhaustive exercise is not suitable for those persons with cardiovascular disease, and the long-term light aerobics is the best sports mode for them.
