Lifelong learning is a kind of lifestyle in 2st century, and lifelong learning society is a society, which supports lifelong learning activities. Japan lies in a leading position in the construction of lifelong learning society in the world, either in theory or practice, and Japanese universities play a key role in the process. Therefore, to study the measures and functions of Japanese universities is of great importance to Chinese Universities' reform and development.Firstly, the thesis makes a comprehensive portray of the construction of Japanese lifelong learning society, so as to give the readers a brief impression.
