Primary school morality and life course is a newly increased course in our country's basic education course reform. Like other courses, under the guidance of diversified policies of teaching material which our country puts forward, the textbook of morality and life of primary school has it's own varied editions. Because the study on textbook appraisal of our country was very weak in history, still basically stayed on the level of experience, this kind of situation may become a piece of roadblock that the course reform of basic education carried on smoothly. The severity of the problem can't be ignored. As one small try on textbook appraisal, I hope this research can be of value to the appraisal and study of primary school morality and life textbook.Because the study is carried on through understanding relevant text mainly, the main research approaches adopted are the comparative research law and text explaining law. According to the mastering of the textbook, I have selected primary school first grade, Volume Two and second grade Volume One "morality and life" textbooks from People's Education Publishing House, Beijing Normal University Publishing House, Jiangsu Educational Publishing House and Education & Science Press four publishing houses , which are regarded as the texts compared.The study are launched from vertical, horizontal two pieces of latitude. The vertical one, through the comparison of the three syllabuses, two course standards issued after the foundation of our country and the textbooks under the guidance of the course standards, shows the historical development of the primary school ideology and moral character education which has developed from more tender to perfecting constantly in development. The vertical comparison raises the historical curtain for the textbook of morality and life of primary school, display morality and life course distinct era seal too.As an activity type comprehensive course, the essential feature of morality and life is living, comprehensive and activity these three respects. So, the analysis about the generality of the textbook of "morality and life" of primary school is launched from these three respects, which gives a more macroscopical description, comparison and analysis on the whole about the "morality and life" textbooks of the several selected editions.And then, from the three components of the textbook , such as content composition , system structure and way of appearing ,etc., I analyse and compare thecharacteristics of each edition. From comparing we find that in composition of the content, though every edition textbook organize the unit content by combining the children and themselves, children and society, children and nature these three axises, but the comprehensive degree has very big difference. Thingking about the comprehensive situations of four creative aspects : living healthily and safely , happily and positively , shoulder the responsibility and having love, using their heads and showing creativity, according to the each proportion accounted for in every edition textbook .there aren't too great difference .But in the concrete association, the difference is still greater. Linking up immaturly is a question needing close attention, which every edition textbook has paid more abundant concern, Certainly, the concrete conditions have a difference. In system structure, there is difference between the design of every edition textbook, either following the time clue, or according to the order of the varying of space- time, from the close-by examples to those far off, or combining space- time with some important problems in children's life, which reflects the different understanding of" logic of life " that course standard put forward . From the point of appearing form, it is common characteristic that combining pictures with texts, but the proportion of various kinds of pictures accounted for in different edition textbook is different. In addition, the use of channel picutures, design of the unit theme icon and the cartoon animal are also differen...
