Preliminary Study On Employment Views Of Undergraduates In Chinese General Colleges And Universities

Higher education in our country has been in a new developing phase with rapidly expansion on a large scale in a very short period. As far as undergraduates are concerned, to obtain employment stands itself out as there have come forth varieties of new problems during this course, which has drawn a lot of attention of experts in academe. They not only have put forward many penetrating judgments aiming at those problems and some other practice difficulties in the course of taking up occupations, but also pointed out that one of the ultimate ways to solve them depended on undergraduates themselves. That is to say, they should adjust their concepts, play the expectations down, and search ampler space for personal development in the region of the west-central. However, some practice problems such as the real views of undergraduates of obtaining employment, the variations in employment process, the urgent problems, the characteristics of the whole situations, the concrete factors which affect the employment view. The main objective of this thesis lies in getting an conclusion through questionnaire investigation to some undergraduates, researching and analyzing on the basis of fact figures, probing into the factors which affect the employment views of undergraduates in definite range, and finally making some expatiation and research of the series of questions mentioned above to some extent.There are three parts in this thesis:In the introduction--primary definition of the concepts related to the themeand some retrospections of fruits of former research are given. In addition, there are explanations of the thesis structure and research ways.The main idea of the first chapter is investigation and analysis of the employment view of undergraduates. The author has analyzed the statistical data of undergraduates employment situation, key factors they pay attention to during the employment course, possible range of employment, employment approaches and the employment introductions that got from the investigation which had been processed among the undergraduates of different majors, background and sex factors in several colleges in Guangdong Province, and consequently concluded the active variations of the employment views of undergraduates and some practice problems.In the second chapter the thesis has analyzed those factors that affect the employment views of undergraduates. Furthermore, this thesis has got the conclusion that higher education, employment policy, dissemination of media and criterions of corporation, each play an important role in the employment course, affecting the formation and variation of the employment views of undergraduates.
