Equality is one of the goals that mankind is seeking for. Educational equality as the extension and development of equality concept is the dream that human society diligently strives after. With the rapid development of human society in 20th century, higher education has entered the central society from the frontier society, thus higher education has become the most important component for the entire society. Pursuing for higher education equality is the effective method for the realization of social equality. On the one hand, since the popularization of Chinese higher education has been realized, the expansion of Chinese higher education dimension provides more chances for Chinese people to attain higher education, on the other hand, since more and more people can accept higher education in China, higher education has played an important part in continuing social lives and accelerating individual development. Because of the popularization of higher education, the masses of people have paid great attention to a series of problems in higher education. Among these problems, higher education equality has become the most important issue in our society. The reason is that the common people have generally realized the inequality of Chinese higher education at present times. This article makes the popularization of Chinese higher education its background, relatively examining the equality for higher education learners in the educational system operation, and countermeasures to deal with the inequality in Chinese higher education at present times have been mentioned in this article.The contents of the problem and study significance are mentioned in Part One. We can see the backgrounds, ranges and basic thoughts for probing into this problem.The explanations for several basic concepts in higher education equality can be seen in Part Two.In Part Three, the author shows the practical inspections for the problem whether equality can be achieved in Chinese higher education. This article develops in thelogical order of the process of higher education operation, and shows the inspecting results on the chances of entering universities, the process of getting higher education and the final educational effects. We can find a lot of inequality phenomena in Chinese present higher education from these inspections.Some personal opinions on this problem can be found in Part Four.The author concludes and illustrates the ways to deal with the problem of higher education inequality.Finally there are the author's evaluations to this article in Part Five.
