One of the four skills of language learning, writing has almost always been a difficultfield. Facing these problems, we teachers have to find some ways to convince ourstudents that the job of writing is not so hard as it sounds. Firstly, when teachingwriting, teachers should be familiar with some principles in Writing Teaching, whichmay help teachers be aware of something ignored in teaching writing. These comefrom teachers'observation of students'problems.Secondly, we teachers should try to create some attractive or innovative ways to makethe students feel that writing is not that boring and tiring. For instance, poem writingprovides some model structures and framework. During the process of creating a newpoem by modeling the sample poem, the students are also provided with somechances to review words of different parts of speech and to get familiar with someEnglish structures.Thirdly, when teaching writing, we teachers might as well enable the students torealize that writing can also be pair work or group work instead of individual workonly. To group the students in writing and strengthen the power of the group is likelyto relax the students of heavy burden of writing and arouse their interests in writing.In doing the research of finding some ways to make the teaching a successful job, weteachers should be conscious of the fact that what the students are doing in the wholeprocess of research and what they can gain from the research should be paid as muchattention to as possible. The students are not objects studied in the laboratory. Theyare human beings with individual thinking and feeling. They are creative andimaginative. Their motivation for improvement in their own learning deservesadequate respect.
