Content: The Chemistry teaching in senior middle school is a very important part of the basic education. The question-inquiry teaching comes into being and has irresistibly been infiltrating into different subject-teachings of basic education with the development of society and the reformation of the basic education. Applying the question- inquiry teaching to chemistry teaching is adapted to the demand of development of the society and the requirement of the education reformation.The teaching way varies at different stages of the development of society. As we are entering information age of the 21 st century, the question-inquiry teaching has been endowed with new spirit and content, and will become a leading way of teaching in the school education. After continuous development and improvement, the question-inquiry teaching has already formed its own basic teaching theory and tactics.The question-inquiry teaching has substantial content in guiding the chemistry teaching in senior middle school. First, It requires teachers to master the relevant education theory. Second, it requires teachers to form teaching idea of students' center.
