Reading teaching has always been the most important part of the literature education, if Literature is the elegant verse of the education poem, the reading teaching shall be the beautiful tones that to sing the verses.Out of all the contents of Literature teaching, the reading teaching is the most time-consuming while the least efficient part. The owner of the reading, our students, after the study of so many texts and memorize so many classic works from their elementary school to the high school, seldom develop the good habit of reading and the ability to independently read and analyze the articles. Though we've been conducting the reading teaching for years, we have to admit that the teaching process is dominant by teacher's reading and informing rather than to develop the student's reading skill. Examine the current reading teaching style, we easily found the problems such as too many questions and analysis from the teachers while too less reading and thinking from students; too many guides and advices from teachers while too less self-study and independent thinking from students; The training on independent reading is insufficient and the teaching process is deadlocked, etc. In fact, the reading teaching process should be the inter-act process between the teacher and the students rather than the one-single-side instruction from the teacher.Reading teaching should be conducted base on the essence of Literature and go deeply into the implication of the articles. The education especially the Literature education is closely related to the shape of student's healthy and integrated character, while the character development is closely related to the Literature reading. To integrate the art appreciation into the reading teaching is so important that now it has been generally recognized in the field of Literature education.In the past field of Literature education, teachers were intended to guide the students to examine the ideology of the works and ignore the other factors of Literature education. With the rich and colorful new curricula, we have no reason to emphasize only the ideology and to ignore the art nature of Literature which not only be embodied in the contents but also in its styles. So in our new era of education, Literature education has been inevitably been faced with the problem of education characterization, under this circumstances, Literature education must give enough room for students to develop their own character, especially on reading and writing, Literature should break the traditional restrictions and extend it's boundary to a broader field..
