Accompanying with the globalization, mankind have entered into the21st century. Theglobalization has challenged the education of history rigorously, which requests that thestudents with history education must have global consciousness.Along with the high schoolhistory reform in education has progressed continuously and thoroughly, the historiographyfield agree on this point:"the history education must adapt to the time, and face to the world",and emphasize that the history education must" strengthen the global consciousness".Recently, The Outline of Foundation Education Curriculum Reform lists global consciousnessas an important content which was a weakness in former history teaching exactly. In order toadapt to the society in which the members are both cooperative and competitive with eachother, the students ought to have the global view with the international competition and theabilities of the cooperation, therefore, the teachers' global consciousness and the education ofthe students' global consciousness are an important mission of any educator in historyteaching. The purpose of this thesis is to clarify the relative subjects about emphasizing andstrengthening the global consciousness education under the new situations. The thesis discusses the importance of the senior high school history teaching andenhance the necessity, teaching objects, teaching contents, teaching methods, functions andresults of the global consciousness theoretically and practically. Emphasizing and enhancingthe global consciousness in senior high school history teaching is the need of practicalmodernization education principles and time development; is also the common educationalground of history education of many nations in the world; is the important premise andassurance in understanding and constructing China; is the target of the history teaching, andalso is a new lesson to be enhanced; is also the need of senior high school students forself-development all life. The thesis, with the inquisition, understanding and analysis of thepresent condition and the causes of the global consciousness of senior high school students,according to the history study characteristics of the senior high school students, sets andenhances the teaching goals and teaching methods in senior high school history teaching,combining the many-year senior high school history teaching practice of myself, broadens theteaching visual field, enhances in senior school history teaching the consciousness of worldeducation introduces the feasible plans to enhance the global consciousness to the student insenior high school history teaching, explains requests of the global consciousness to the seniorhigh school history teachers, discusses the functions and results of emphasizing andenhancing the global consciousness in senior high school history teaching, which is beneficialto stir up the senior high school students the interest in history knowledge study and theenthusiasm:is helpful for senior high school students to exalt their history thought abilities;is beneficial to foster the students' sound personality; makes the history thought ability, studyscores of the senior school students obviously increase, makes senior high school studentsmore concern about the society and understanding the society, also pushes the schools'education of thoughts work. In all, emphasizing and enhancing students the global consciousness is the need of time,and of the students and the nation's development.The thesis is of some reference value to thelater senior school history course reforms and the teaching practices.
