The State Council Degree Committee Office point out clearly in "Suggestions About Strengthen and Improve Professional Degree Education" in 2002 that Professional Degree Education has the same and equally role as the Academic Degree Education in the national education system and they are two important aspects of high-level education . Professional Degree Education is a new style in education and a lot of problems have emerged over the past ten years. It needs us to carry on the theoretical research and make the suitable solution. This thesis chooses the angle of adult learning to carry on the research in the micro aspect of education .This thesis has adopted analysis, comparison, summarizing, enumerating, investigation methods, fully using dialectical method from concrete to generally and from generally to concrete. First, This thesis produces to describe the background of Professional Degree Education and define the relevant concept , then sums up the developing history and the structure of Professional Degree Education. The thesis don't concern about the particularity of various concreted kinds of Professional Degrees and also points out the questions existing in Professional Degree Education from the angle of adult learning, they are the following problems: ignoring adult's experience in learning , ignoring the physiology and psychological character of the adult, not getting enough attention to professional practicality in the research of Professional Degree Education .The above problems need us to research and revision .The point and core of this thesis lies in the research of character of Professional Degree Learner. First, Professional Degree Education should promote individuals to develop in an all-round way and Professional Degree Education should insist to unify the feature of academic, practical and professional character. Second, This thesis proposes the teaching demands from such aspects as student's physiological character, psychological character, socialized character and studying philosophy, etc. The thesis point out that we should follow the universal law of adult's learning. Third, This thesis analyses Professional Degree Education from the aspects of curriculum design, teaching form, academic thesis writing, pluralism of the tutor, relationship between teacher & student, etc. This thesis researches the Professional Degree Education from the angle of adult learning. It offers the reference suggestion in learning latitude and teaching latitude to strengthen Professional Degree Education further more.
