Research On The Querying Ability And Its Training Of Junior High School Students In The Classroom Instruction

Query is a kind of scientific attitude and ability, which has close relations with thinking. The course of querying glows rational glory, exploring desire, endless courage and critique. It glows the precious spirit of seeking truth. Daring to query, good at query, glad to query and training the students' querying ability is a new demand that the era puts forward for education. Such theories as scientific knowledge view, constructuralism, life-span education and subject education theories offer theoretical and practical foundation for the training of querying ability. Training students' querying ability helps them to play subject functions, to develop the good individual characters, to reserve knowledge and to let them know the way to study.The physiological and psychological development and its relevant researches of junior high school students tell us: Query can cause orientation -probe reflection; the structure of junior school students' brains can be perfected through query, too; the independence and criticism of thinking can be obviously developed. Junior school is the key period to train querying ability. As shown in the questionnaire of 503 junior high school students, they have good conditions to participate in classroom instruction but thinking participation is oppressive actually; the emerge of doubts and its whole situation are unsatisfactory; the cognition of querying is sober but actions are slow; they are superstitions and follow blindly towards authority in the whole classroom instruction.Inherent and external factors are influencing the development of junior high school students' querying ability.
