American Research Universities And Military R&D

United States is the most powerful country in the world. Since World War II, the role of universities in the developing of military technology has been highly emphasized in United States. Research universities are important to the development of military R&D and improvement of military force in U.S. At the same time,these research universities get great developments. Based on this information, this thesis discussed about the process and characteristics of US Universities involvement into military R&D research. The US scientific policies and military research system were studied here. The relationship between military research and US research universities development were investigated. Finally, it is forwarded in my opinion on how to strengthen the national defense researches in our top universities.
