We are now stepping into a new age which is featured with a strong dependence on spread and access of information. Now, the conventional ways of thinking and education are subjected to change. In this age of information, our knowledge may lag behind the time rapidly, if we stop to study and learn the new techniques and know-how's which are continuously developed and spread via various information transportation chains, for example, internet. The access and absorption of new knowledge is especially important to enterprises. Well-organized and efficient training of employees can build up a successful competitor in market, because innovation, which is essential for the thriving of an enterprise, can be created only by well-knowledge human power. Simply enlarging scale of an enterprise and increasing number of factories can on longer play the dominant role. Web-based training, as a result of rapidly developing Internet technologies, constitutes the frame of modern enterprise training and education, and has become one of the most important ways to develop human power. It has been proven that web-based training can be more flexible on what to learn, how to learn, where to learn, and when to learn, than traditional education modes. Further more, if properly organized, the cost for web-based training can be much lower than classroom-based studying. With these advantages, web-based training has become the first choice for educating employees, of most enterprises all over the world. Motivation for this thesis is to study the exploration and developing of human power in enterprises by web-based training, with detail investigation on the design, organization, carrying out and evaluation of web-based training process. By analyzing typical cases, major principles and valuable experiences on web-based training are summarized. Further more, through comparison of web-based training processes carried out between in China and in other countries, difficulties and problems existing in this field in China are presented.
