21st century is the period of developing advanced science, changing culture and ideasfrom time to time and continuous strength of international communication. Competition isbecoming sharper and sharper with it . Society in the future would need people withhigher quality. The people should not only have advanced knowledge , but also havenoble-minded accomplishment, lofty ideals, large-minded, correct world outlook, outlook onlife and value outlook, social sense of responsibility, perfect character, at the same time , theyshould have the spirit of cooperation individuality and special creativeness. In these educationplays an important part. All kinds of people that society needs are being trained througheducation. Facing the new challenge, education should pay more attention to students' overalldevelopment and self-development of students' potentialities, which is related to students'humanistic accomplishment . Nowadays, new round course reform is being carried on. More attentively, it is verynecessary and urgent to deal with the relations of New Curriculum Criterion,studentsindividual development and interrelated factors. The paper is based on the spirit "the core concept of the person-centered developmentalview", it is the results of inquiry about the problem------the individual development for middleschool students, which is combined with my teaching practice for many years,thecharacteristics of the subject---history and requirements of History New Curriculum Criterion,it advanced some ideas,views and experience about the individual development for middleschool students in the course of history teaching. A great quantity of typical cases are used,and some graphs are used for explanation . Because of limited time and ability, students forsenior middle school are mainly researched.The thesis is divided into three parts. Firstly presents individual development. Secondly statesHistory New Curriculum Criterion and individual development for middle school students.Thirdly discussed the relations between history humanistic education and individualdevelopment. In this paper, the core is the problem------the relation between History NewCurriculum Criterion and individual development for middle school students.
