At present, we have got certain breakthroughs in teaching outline, textbooks and training of Chinese oral language teaching in higher vocational colleges. But there are still many problems: the old content, the behindhand view, the deficient teaching organization and training, and the shortage of necessary evaluating system. This kind of status is very hard to adapt to the requirement that higher vocational education should train superior technical application talent in the front line with all-round qualities and synthetic vocational abilities in production, construction, management and service. By analyzing and researching the status and problems in the aspects like textbooks, students' oral language ability, teachers' view, teaching organization, training and evaluating system of oral language teaching in higher vocational colleges, the article scans and studies newly the contents, structure, purpose, principle, methods, ways and evaluation of Chinese oral language teaching in higher vocational colleges. And it puts forwards to the teaching ideal of "taking students as center, taking practice as center and taking application as center" and constructs preliminarily the oral language teaching system: designing oral language teaching content and course structure scientifically, new orientation, intercommunication and cultural aims to the recognition of oral language teaching, emphasizing the oral language teaching principles of affection, practice and participation, exploring democratized, situated and modernized oral teaching methods and diversified oral language teaching ways. And it forms the training pattern based on the teaching view of "big Chinese" in teaching practice and establishes the all-round, active and flexible teaching evaluating system. The article means to make oral language teaching in higher vocational college be able to improve the students' oral language intercommunicating ability actually and efficiently and cultivate the students' vocational ability and humanity quality and looks forward to being able to provide a certain theory guide for the practice of oral language teaching in higher vocational college.
