The research about the learning motivation has great effect on student's learning and teacher's teaching. And the research about mathematics learning motivation is of great importance to vocational high school students. The students of vocational high school are a kind of special students currently. Because of the speciality of school and the major of student, these kinds of students are special in recognition, emotion, viewpoint of value, and behavior. So these students form a special group. In this paper the author will try to do some research about learning motivation for mathematics of this kind of students deeply and systematically.In this paper the author reviews some theories of learning motivation, such as achievement motivation theory, self-attribution theory, self-efficacy theory, humanistic theory, reinforcement theory. Secondly, the author analyzes the speciality of vocational high school students. Thirdly, the author designs the questionnaire on the vocational high school students' mathematics learning motivation and the outline of talking topics about mathematics learning motivation. The purpose of the author is trying to grasp two points. The first point is the state of the vocational high school students' mathematics learning motivation. The second point is main factors that can affect the vocational high school students' mathematics learning motivation. The main conclusions of the questionnaire and talking are three points.The first conclusion is that we are not satisfied with the state of the vocational high school students' mathematics learning motivation.The second conclusion is that the factors that can affect the vocational high school students' mathematics learning motivation have four. They are the factor of recognition, the factor of emotion, the factor of viewpoint of value, and the factor of behavior.The factors of recognition include five points.
