The new curriculum criterion puts forwards "to fully bring the educational function into play", "to construct open and orderly Chinese course". In order to carry out the claim, the author investigates the Chinese classical literature in the Chinese textbook for middle school students from the angle of how to select and organize the teaching material.The author thinks that the Chinese classical literature in the textbook for middle school students has been inheriting and passing on the excellent traditional culture and spirit of the Chinese people. They are useful to enhance students' literature cultivation, mental level and the moral cultivation, and also useful to shape students' healthy personalities. Based on the current situation of Chinese classical literature in the textbook for middle school students, the author compares the Chinese classical literature content between yawn version, sujiao version, renjiao version (2000) for Junior Middle School. students and guangdong version, lujiao version, renjiao version (2004). Then the author analyses the old and new renjiao versions. Finally, the author attempts to research the selection and organization of the Chinese classical literature in contemporary Chinese textbook in middle school under the guidance of the curriculum criterion, according to the physical and mental characteristics of middle school students, and Bulumu's cognitive object classification theory, etc.The author thinks that the selection and organization of Chinese classical literature in contemporary Chinese middle school textbook should be under the guidance of the "curriculum criterion" and "curriculum criterion for Senior Middle School", and we should take "to bear the rich connotation of the unity of tool nature and humanity nature" as root, and follow the principles of mentality, opening, estimating one's abilities, progressing step by step, relatively converging and properly alternating.
