The American government has taken teacher education as an issue that influnce "the future of America", and has put the improvement of teacher education into one of the America's big ten education goals . Teacher education has been the focus of America's education reform. During ten years' develop, the American Proffesional Development Schools has been the trend of teacher education . And has gained the recognize of every fields . We all know that how to amalgamate the theory and practice in education has always been considered by the education field, and it is sure that the PDS has provide a playgroud for that amalgamation .Through the amalgamation of education theory and practice, this thesis reviews and analyses the American teacher education reform and present some inspiration in the Chinese teacher education reform by the analysis frame of state issues in comparative education, the elemnet analysis, the historical reference, and comparing ways. Correspondingly, this research consists of five parts: The first part identifies the concepts of teacher education and teacher professionalization. The second part analyse the background of the America's teacher education roform in three aspects, which are the push of the education reform tidal wave , the improvement of teachers'professionalized status, and the challenge to traditional education in a social reform ero. The third part dissertates the main content and measure of the teacher education reform, which concludes four areas. They are the standards of teaching professionalization, the teacher certificate system, the hire and remain of teachers, and the new trend of teacher education reform—the produce and development of the PDS. The last part of this thesis present some advices on our native teacher reform and development on the basis of the America's teacher reform experiences .
