Inquiry learning is a learning activity in which students, under teachers' guidance, choose and set special subject to study from nature, society and life, acquire knowledge, apply knowledge and solve problems in the process of learning. On January 2000, the Ministry of Education promulgated "Full-Time Senior Middle School Course Plan (the Revised Draft)", set it as a part of integrated practice activity, and put it into the elementary education course system of our country as a compulsory course. In implementing inquiry learning, the final results from senior middle schools in different places are not the same because of differences in themselves, environment, and ways of implementation, etc. The results from some senior middle schools are not desirable, and some schools have stopped implementing inquiry learning, or just do it for show. "Why does this problem happen" and "how to solve it" are questions this paper intends to answer.In view of the representativeness of Zhongjiang Middle School of Sichuan Province, the tipicalness of the problems appearing in the implementation of inquiry learning in this school and the convenience of research, the author selects this school as the object of investigation, applying measures such as documentation, interviewing and questionnaire to find out the implementation of inquiry learning in this school.
